The detail
Why it sounds the way it does
The cowbell carries the melody in phonk, so this kit gives you one in every key, tuned on its lower oscillator and measured after rendering, plus four characters with more grit or more room. The 808s run through an asymmetric clipper and keep a clean sub underneath, and the snares and claps go through the same sampler chain as an old drum machine: lower bit depth, a lower sample rate, tape. Each of the eight grooves comes as Full, No Kick, Full + 808, and Full + 808 + Cowbell, and the MIDI keeps the cowbell line on its own track.
